Today plus some

Today we did our Riggs test, we then went to math, where we got our test back.  We had fun with our history skits, where Luddites were quite scary.  World Language was normal today.  When we came back from World Language we came back and read Ch. 8 in our history books.  We will answer questions and debate about this tomorrow.  We got two Latin roots today, that our Riggs words will come from.  Then it was lunch...outside. P.E. was soccer and music was Ode to Joy.  Percussion is doing extremely well. We came back to class and had a working session.  We worked on our notecards, Key Word Outline our body paragraphs and should have our first paragraph (body) in rough draft form.  We also have a check list to help remind us of dress-ups.  Then we are about to clean after getting these Riggs words:

cordial
encourage
discord
cutis
cuticle
courageous

Maybe we will get to our kickball game that we earned before spring break, maybe not.

There will be a sub tomorrow, as I have to go out of town.

In Night of the Notables,  we checked off where we were in our Project Component Timeline.  Students should be on track and be able to tell you where they are off, if they are.   All of their note cards should be done for each body paragraph, these are key facts from both their book and internet source.  Their rough draft of their timeline should be done.  It will be 24 inches long, horizontal, contain 12 facts and 5 pictures in final draft form.  We will continue to work on the rough draft paragraphs in class.
