April 15, 2014

Today:

  • We began class with a Riggs test.
  • We took a quiz on adding and subtracting negative numbers in Math, then went over last night's lesson and went to MAP testing.  About 1/3 of the students finished MAP testing.  THERE IS NO MATH HOMEWORK TONIGHT!!
  • We worked on our N.O.N., getting our re-do of our timeline checked (some students were given until Thursday to re-do again as the intervals are wrong), our souvenirs checked and finishing up our 5th paragraph for the body of our paper.  Students were suppose to turn in their paragraphs today to be edited.  We will start the process of the intro and conclusion paragraphs tomorrow.
  • World Language
  • Silent reading and more one-on-one help and checking in about Night of the Notables.
  • Lunch
  • P.E and small group work in the classroom.
  • Students were given a menu with nine choices for the French Revolution review.  They then drew a chapter out of bowl at random.   Students are meant to do a fun project to summarize their chapter and bring it back to class to enlighten us by Thursday.  This was started in class and are due on Thursday!
  •  MAP testing in reading.  We will continue to do small chunks of reading time until we finish. The computers froze today, so we did not have time to come back and watch the video about the French Revolution.

Homework tonight:

Work on Menu choice due Thursday
N.O.N. should be done with all five body paragraphs, souvenirs, and timeline

Have a wonderful night,

Miss King
