April 21, 2014

Inside the classroom,

  • We began with our quiz on mapping the United States.  It was evident that many students did not study and will have an opportunity tomorrow to re-do their test before the grade goes in the grade book.
  • In math we did Power Up M, corrected lesson 106, corrected our practice test 20A and worked problems on our whiteboards.  Students then took test 20B and for homework they have L107 practice set, and #'s: 2,5,6,7,9,10,11,12,17,22,23,24,&28 as well as the reteach sheet 107.
  • We then did our Greek and Latin root quiz
  • Went over where we are in our N.O.N. project.  Students realize it is crunch time as the Night of the Notables is only 6 school days away....next Thursday, May 1st.  They should have their boards going, their costume going and tonight they will finish the last paragraph of their rough draft, the conclusion. Some students did not ask parents to edit this weekend and should have, so if you have not gone over their paper, please do so.
  • World Language
  • French Revolution Menu presentations are still going and should be done by tomorrow, so we can move into our Ocean unit.
  • Silent reading and read the Giver out-loud.
  • Lunch
  • Music/P.E.
  • Went over a few introductory paragraphs with the class, taught the concept of the conclusion, checking in with students on their project component sheets for N.O.N.
  • Pack up and home after two more presentations happened.

Thank you,

Miss King
